Payroll processing giant ADP plans to expand its operations in Augusta and add 450 jobs over the coming years, according to a state news release.
The expansion will add to ADP’s more than 1,000 workers in Augusta and include a $20 million addition to its current facility. The new jobs will involve managerial and non-management roles, the release said.
New Jersey-based ADP, a Fortune 500 company with customers in about 100 countries, is a major player in the world of human resources software and services. The Augusta facility opened in 2007. The company also has facilities in Atlanta and Alpharetta.
“Our expansion to the Augusta Solution Center is based upon the continued success in attracting top talent which supports our Human Capital Management products and adds value to the client experience,” Dave Brendza, ADP vice president and general manager in Augusta, said in the release.
Information about incentives offered to the company were not immediately available. The firm is likely eligible for tax credits for new jobs created and potentially other state and local incentives.
Gov. Nathan Deal said in the announcement that the ADP expansion “is a great credit to our state’s established infrastructure for high-tech companies.”
Augusta in recent years has become a hub for information security with the growth of the U.S. Cyber Command at Fort Gordon.
“With this expansion, ADP is a part of a group of innovative companies that have invested in Georgia to utilize some of the nation’s brightest talent and benefit from our state’s competitive technological resources,” Deal said.
