The Atlanta Falcons and NCR announced Thursday that the automated teller maker will be a founding partner in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Duluth-based NCR will provide checkout equipment, touchscreen navigation systems, digital menus and other technologies inside the new stadium, according to a news release.

The Falcons plan to have 14 founding partners, and NCR joins IBM, SunTrust Banks, Equifax and aluminum giant Novelis as named partners so far.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is expected to open in 2017, and will be the home of the Falcons and Major League Soccer franchise Atlanta United.

NCR has been a Falcons sponsor since 2013, the release said.

NCR is known as a maker of travel kiosks, cash registers and other transactions technologies, and the company has been working to transform itself into a software and services provider as well. The company is planning a splashy new Midtown Atlanta headquarters.
