The Cobb Chamber of Commerce on Monday named its next two upcoming board chairmen.
First Landmark Bank Chief Financial Officer Terry DeWitt.
The chamber said First Landmark Bank Chief Financial Officer Terry DeWitt will steer the board in 2016, and Kennesaw State University President Daniel Papp will serve as chairman in 2017.
DeWitt’s appointment will be in place of previously announced 2016 chairman, GE Power Generation Services executive Steve Hartman. Hartman, who recently was promoted within his company, is set to transfer to Switzerland, the chamber said in a news release.
David Connell, Cobb Chamber president and CEO, said in the release that “while it’s hard to lose (Hartman’s) talents to another part of the world, we’re truly excited for him in his new role at GE.”
“Our Chamber is extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to name Terry DeWitt as our new 2016 chairman and Dr. Daniel Papp as our 2017 chairman,” Connell said. “Naming these two individuals as the next leaders of our Chamber is a true illustration of the strong leadership found in this community.”

DeWitt will assume the chairman role from current chamber chairwoman Kim Menefee, a WellStar health executive, in January.
