This week, many Georgia students are heading back to school. The Back to School deals are everywhere and many stores are having some excellent sales. Here are my Top 3 Back to School Saving Tips:
Use store coupons and discounts: There are many store coupons and discounts to use this year. Target has some awesome store coupons this week that can be used on Back to School supplies and clothing. You can also use the cartwheel app for 20% additional savings on clearance clothing and shoes. Office Depot/Office Max has some super cool deals for 1 penny as long as you meet the minimum purchase amount.
Stock up on clearance: Get a head start for next year by watching for store clearances on Back to School supplies that your child may need for next year. I do this every year. This year, I only had to pick up a couple packs of paper and one other specialty item that my daughter's school requested.
Don't skip the thrift stores: If your Back to School budget is low, be sure to visit your local thrift stores to see what items are available that you could use until you have more money available. I have found 1-2 inch binders that have never been used, sometimes packs of loose leaf paper, packs of pencils and pens. Don't forget to look through clothing for gently used clothes that could be added to the clothes your children already have.
