New video games this week:

"Mortal Kombat X." If you thought the long-running fighting series couldn't get any more graphic, you were mistaken! Built primarily for the next-generation game consoles, the new edition features different versions of each playable character with different fighting styles and abilities, as well as a story that takes place 25 years after the events of the last Mortal Kombat tournament. There's also new characters such as Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage's daughter Cassie Cage and, of course, tons of extreme and gory finishing moves. Rated M for Mature. $60-$150 in Standard, Premium and Coarse Editions. For Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PCs.

"Grand Theft Auto 5." The acclaimed game, which had been delayed for PC, finally arrives with lots of visual improvements, including a 60 frames-per-second graphics, enhanced damage and weather effects, new weapons, new vehicles and a first-person mode. Rated M for Mature. $60, for Windows PC.

Also out this week: "Titan Souls" (PS4, PlayStation Vita, PC, Mac), "Brother Against Brother: The Drawing of the Sword" (PC).
