Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook unveiled the Apple Watch last September.

CEO Tim Cook is expected to unveil the device and provide other updates at 1 p.m. Eastern. We’ll report on developments as they come out, so keep checking back with Biz Beat.

The watch is expected to come in two sizes and start at $350. But that price can reach up to $10,000 given all of the bells and whistles that can be added, including costly wristbands.

The watch will let you dictate messages and receive texts, e-mails and news alerts. It will also have mapping capabilities so you can find the nearest coffee shop. Any photos you favorite on your iPhone or Mac will automatically appear on your Apple Watch, Apple said last fall. The device also features Siri.

Apple, however, is really pushing the device’s fitness-related benefits. When CEO Tim Cook introduced the watch in September, the device was billed as “a comprehensive health and fitness companion.”

A workout app shows real-time stats such as calories, time, distance, and pace for your workouts. The watch can detect your pulse rate with infrared and visible-light LEDs, along with photosensors.

Here are more details on what Apple might unveil about the new Watch.
