New ‘Mario vs. Donkey Kong’ leads the week in games

New video games this week:

"Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars." (Out Thursday.)  The latest game in the series, which features mini versions of the Nintendo characters, features 80 puzzle stages, an option to create and share new levels and interoperability between the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions. Best of all, buying one version earns you a code to get the other one free. Rated E for Everyone. $20 for Wii U and 3DS.

"White Night." A black-and-white survival horror game set in 1930s Boston with puzzle-solving and heavy noir vibe. Rated M for Mature, no price listed at press time, for Windows PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
