Camila Cabello performs cover of ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas’ at White House

Dec 22, 2021

Camila Cabello, along with a full Mariachi band, performed her rendition of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” at the White House on Tuesday.

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and Georgia-filmed “Ozark” actor Julia Garner introduced Cabello for her performance from the Grand Foyer. The performance was part of PBS’ “In Performance at The White House: Spirit of the Season.”

Cabello dressed in all-red for her cover of the Bing Crosby classic.

“Such an incredible honor to perform again at the White House,” Cabello tweeted. “Wishing you all a wonderful holiday with your loved ones 🥰.”

Eric Church, the Jonas Brothers, Pentatonix, Billy Porter, Andrea Bocelli and his children Matteo and Virginia were among other performers at the event.

Earlier this month, Cabello performed the song on NBC’s “Michael Bublé's Christmas in the City.”

“I wanted to pay tribute to my Mexican heritage with this Christmas cover of I’ll be home for Christmas,” she posted on Instagram. “Luis MiRey [sic] did it first and in Spanish, but I wanted to bring it to an audience that normally doesn’t get to hear the beauty of Mariachi music.”
