Voting continued to go smoothly across Georgia with two hours left until the polls close.

Wait times in Fulton and DeKalb county were less than 30 minutes at all polling places, the counties reported. Earlier Tuesday, the Secretary of State’s office reported no significant lines and a sizable election day turnout, which could top 1 million voters.

At Allen Temple AME Church in Woodstock, some voters waited up to 45 minutes to cast their ballots early Tuesday afternoon. Later, nearly 90 people waited in line, though the wait was only about 22 minutes.

Quentin Cashman, poll manager at the Cooper Elementary School in Gwninett County, said voting had gone smoothly. When the doors opened at 7 a.m, there was a line of 40 people waiting to vote.

But early morning wait times were just 20 minutes, and they decreased to five to 10 minutes by early afternoon. As of 1 p.m. approximately 835 people voted. Cashman said this was a good turnout, especially for a runoff election with only two people on the ballot.
