All of Georgia’s voting precincts were closed as of 7:45 p.m., according to Gabriel Sterling, chief operating officer for the Secretary of State’s office.

A small number of precincts that experienced problems earlier in the day had stayed open past 7 p.m., when the lion’s share of the state’s polls closed.

Election workers are now tallying results, a process officials are hoping will be completed in a much speedier manner than in past years.
