On July 4, runners and spectators at the AJC Peachtree Road Race can enjoy a complimentary peach milkshake courtesy of Chick-fil-A.

“We are excited to celebrate such a special tradition in Atlanta by offering one of our favorite traditions: the Peach Milkshake,” said Brad Spratte, operator of the Chick-fil-A restaurants in Tucker Station and Northlake Festival, in a release. “We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned, refreshing treat, on us.”

The promotion is available solely through the Chick-fil-A app while supplies last. Runners and fans can download the app and redeem the reward at participating Atlanta-area restaurants from July 4 through Aug. 5.

Chick-fil-A brought back its peach milkshake on June 12. The fan favorite summer treat was created by Chick-fil-A chef Angela Canada and features peaches, whipped cream and a cherry topping.

“The Peachtree is an Atlanta tradition and we are honored to be partnering with an Atlanta brand beloved by so many runners and walkers,” said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club in a release. “There is no better way to celebrate your accomplishment on the Fourth than heading to your local Chick-fil-A and cooling off with that iconic Peach Milkshake.”

Healthcare at College Park, a nursing home in Fulton County, GA, stands shuttered with its door chained on July 26, 2025, having closed in recent months. Researchers at Brown University developed a list of U.S. nursing homes they predicted were at risk of closing based on 2023 data, and would be at elevated risk of closing due to the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act's cuts to Medicaid. Healthcare at College Park was on their list. It survived past its last federal inspection in August of 2024 but has now closed down. The bill's biggest provisions will roll out over years starting Jan. 1. (Ariel Hart/AJC)
