The scribes at PolitiFact Georgia expect some tough talk from Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders when the pair take the stage Tuesday night, with three other presidential hopefuls, in the first Democratic debate in Las Vegas.

Sanders, an independent U.S. Senator who calls himself a democratic socialist, has been gaining on frontrunner Clinton in the polls, as more news breaks about her use of a private email server while Secretary of State.

PolititFact has vetted attacks, statements and claims both by and about the two in recent months and will follow the debate live on Twitter with updates.

A look at a sampling of claims from Clinton and Sanders, as well as those made by long shots Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island and Martin O'Malley of Maryland and Jim Webb of Virginia, is online at the Politifact Georgia website and comments are welcome on our Facebook page.
