Chancellor Hank Huckaby announced a 15-person search committee to help the State Board of Regents select the next president of Middle Georgia State College.

The group is scheduled to meet Thursday. They will work for several months and recommend three to five candidates for the position.

The Macon-based school was formed this year when the regents consolidated Macon State and Middle Georgia colleges. John Black is serving as interim president.
