The state House passed three bills that would extend tax exemptions, two of which were recommended for expiration by last year's Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians.

House Bill 334 would extend sales tax exemptions for food banks, and House Bill 318 would extend exemptions for food that restaurants donate to charities.

House Bill 743 would extend exemptions on fuel taxes paid by public transit and public campus transportation systems.

The bills now head to the Senate for consideration.
