Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp made official Wednesday the results of this month’s presidential election.

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney won the state, as voters chose winner from among dozens of contested state and local races. The results show 3.9 million Georgians cast ballots, the same as four years ago.

Kemp’s certification is the final step in the election process, although his office continues to investigation more than 100 complaints by voters in Fulton County. The first of those complaints may get an airing Nov. 27, when the State Elections Board is next scheduled to meet.

Fulton poll workers had trouble locating people on voter rolls, even though they registered in time. The workers wrongly steered thousands to provisional ballots — paper ballots that are counted only after voter registration information is verified. And they denied those ballots to others.
