This Election Day, don't let car problems or no-car problems stop you from doing your civic duty.

To commemorate the election of America's 45th president on Tuesday, Nov. 8, rideshare company Lyft will offer a 45 percent discount on one ride between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. in 20 markets, including Atlanta, according to a news release from Lyft.

Atlantans who need a Lyft to the polls can access the promotion through the "Deal of the Week" email they receive Sunday night.

If you're new to Lyft, the company is also offering the code NOVEMBER8TH to receive $5 off your first ten rides.

Uber, another popular rideshare company, won't be offering any discounts. But users can use the app to find their polling stations by entering the address where they're registered to vote.

To add to the Election Day perks, car-sharing company Zipcar is making more than 80 cars in Atlanta free from 6–10 p.m. to ensure last minute voters have an easy and cost-effective way to zip to the polls, a representative told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The effort is part of Zipcar’s national #DRIVEtheVOTE campaign, in which the company is making thousands of cars free across the country to encourage voting.

You can reserve free Zipcars on the mobile app or online.
