He’s hopped out to wave. He’s waved through the window. He’s shouted thanks to people gathered along the road.

President Donald Trump once again stopped along his motorcade route Sunday to acknowledge supporters gathered near his Mar-a-Lago Club — but some supporters Saturday got a little closer to the president.

According to a pool report, Trump saw the supporters gathered on the side of Southern Boulevard yesterday holding signs for him. The president asked his staff to go find the supporters and bring them back to Mar-a-Lago — and they did.

“He wanted to thank them and invited them back,” a White House spokeswoman told the pool. “They came back and he briefly spoke to them, thanked them and took a few photos.”

One of those supporters, Valeria Bianco, told our news partners at WPTV NewsChannel 5 that Trump met with them in one of Mar-a-Lago's ballrooms. "It was a lovely, lovely experience and I just hope it happens again and again," Bianco told WPTV.

Sunday, Trump waved through the window of his SUV to a group of people gathered on Bingham Island, which sits in the Intracoastal Waterway between Mar-a-Lago and West Palm Beach.
