Stone Mountain earns National Main Street accreditation

The Stone Mountain Downtown Development Authority has been recognized for meeting commercial revitalization performance standards set by the National Main Street Center.

The city’s accreditation as a National Main Street Program acknowledges its commitment to historic preservation and community revitalization.

Downtown Development Authority Executive Director Mechel McKinley said already this year, the city has celebrated two new business openings, started a facade improvement grant and opened the Stone Mountain Farmers Market.
