Newly elected Henry County Commissioner Vivian Thomas plans to host her first community meeting Saturday.

Thomas, who represents the 4th District, will meet with constituents at 10 a.m. in the Community Life Center at Grace Baptist Church in Stockbridge.

On the agenda: possible future SPLOST projects, District 4 initiatives and proposed infrastructure plans.

Thomas also will introduce appointees to the Zoning Advisory Board, the Development Authority Board, the Water Authority and the Council on Aging.

The 4th District includes Eagle's Landing, a well-heeled golf course community in Stockbridge that wanted to breakaway and become its own city. Voters resoundingly defeated the cityhood effort during the mid-term elections late last year.
