MARTA hires veteran Atlanta transit executive to be new CEO

MARTA will hire a veteran Atlanta transit executive to lead it through a new era of expansion.

The MARTA Board of Directors Thursday approved a lone finalist to become the agency’s next CEO and general manager: Jeffrey Parker, vice president at infrastructure and design firm HNTB Corp.’s Atlanta office. Parker will become the permanent replacement for former General Manager and CEO Keith Parker, who left MARTA last fall to lead Goodwill of North Georgia.
