A proposal to expand what qualifies as a low-emission vehicle is now under review in the Georgia House.

House Bill 404 would add vehicles that are “fully functional on alternative fuel” and can run for at least 30 miles on an alternative fuel. The vehicle still would need to meet the rules and regulations of the state’s Board of Natural Resources.

The measure is now before the House Government Affairs Committee.
