Want to spend $6 billion?

The Atlanta Regional Commission has an online tool where people can do just that, at least in theory.

Next year, the Atlanta region's voters will decide on a 1 percent sales tax to fund a list of transportation projects over 10 years.  Regional leaders are trying now to choose the projects for that list to show the voters. They have $6.1 billion to spend, but they're picking from a pool totaling $22.9 billion.

The ARC's online tool allows Internet users to try their hands at choosing their own $6.1 billion list.  To find the tool, go to www.atlantaregionalroundtable.com , click "projects" and then "constrained scenario development tool."
