A flash flood watch is in effect for much of northeast Georgia, including Cobb County, from Wednesday evening until Friday morning.

County Department of Transportation teams spent Tuesday clearing storm drains and other known trouble spots as the county braces for up to six inches of rain.

The National Weather Service warned that flooding could continue well after the rain ends.
