Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms will testify Friday before a U.S. Congressional subcommittee on the impact of the coronavirus on her city, along with six other mayors from across the nation.

The noon hearing will focus on the need for additional federal funds to purchase personal protective and other health care equipment; the impact of a lack of federal comprehensive testing, tracing, and targeted containment plan; and how the government can address budget crisis and other economic hardships facing cities and their residents, according to committee aide.
