More than 2 million pounds of chicken has been recalled by an Arkansas poultry producer, the USDA announced Wednesday.

The chicken from Simmons Prepared Foods Inc. may be contaminated with metal and other materials.

The poultry items were produced from Oct. 21 through Nov. 4.

The products were shipped to Georgia, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.

There have been no reports of sicknesses related to the products.

Labels of the affected chicken products have been posted at www.fsis.usda.gov.
