Fresh fruits and vegetables are important to stay healthy. You can’t get any fresher than buying from one of Atlanta’s farmers markets.

From Alpharetta to Woodstock, there are about three dozen farmers markets in the metro Atlanta area, offering everything from apples to exercise classes.

At the Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market, for example, you can buy local sustainably grown fruits and veggies, baked goods and honey, while listening to live music, watching a chef demonstration or attending a free exercise class.

At the Norcross Community Market you can get to know the farmers and ranchers behind the market. There are also special days, like Pico De Gallo Day on Aug. 24, celebrating Mexican culture.
