Q: Can you please help me find wine stoppers called Rabbit Flippers? They seal the bottle and allow you to pour without having to remove the stopper. Thank you. — H. Stowe, Alpharetta

A: This clever gadget is made of stainless steel and rubber, and with the flip of a finger, you can open the stopper to pour your wine. The Rabbit Flipper fits all bottle sizes and is dishwasher safe. You’ll find them for $8.99 each at Total Wine and More, 380 North Point Circle, Alpharetta, 770-772-0694.

Q: I am trying to find Vidalia onion peach hot sauce. The original product that got me hooked was found at Big Lots under the store’s own branding. It was a glass bottle, about 12 ounces. Every time I shop Big Lots, I always look for it. I have Googled the product and came up with a similar product for $5 plus shipping. Kind of pricey for 12 ounces! A lot of similarly named products have cabbage as a main ingredient — not at all what I want. The Big Lots condiment was so good that you could put it on everything, including ice cream! Any other local, reasonably priced condiment might be acceptable. Any suggestions? Thanks. — Melissa Denney, Lawrenceville

A: Melissa, I think I found the ideal solution for you. Check out David’s Produce and Country Store, 3561 Lavista Road, Decatur, 404-325-0709. The store’s best selling hot sauce — and it stocks a treasure trove full — is the house-brand Vidalia onion and Georgia peach, which sells for $6.99 for a 12-ounce bottle. The store also stocks Vidalia onion and peach salsa for $4.49 per 10-ounce jar. None of these products contain cabbage, by the way.

Q: I used to be able to buy mushroom powder for use in my meat recipes. For the past five years, I am no longer able to find it in any local stores near me. The closest I came was a Costco that sold sliced dried mushrooms, which I would grind up, but Costco no longer carries that product. — B. Scharff, East Cobb

A: I found a few options for you, but for dried whole mushrooms, not the powder. Your best bet would be two local international markets. First, check out DeKalb Farmers Market, 3000 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, 404-377-6400. The market sells several varieties of dried mushrooms that are packed on the premises. Prices depend on which type of mushroom you select. You’ll find them in section E. At Buford Highway Farmers Market, 5600 Buford Highway, Doraville, 770-455-0770, you’ll find a slew of dried mushrooms, including black fungus, porcini, shiitake and wood mix. The store also stocks some mushroom bouillon squares, but those have other seasonings. Again, prices depend on the type of mushroom you select. A bit closer to you, you’ll find small .07-ounce bags of World Market Gourmet Mushroom Blend for $3.99 at Cost Plus World Market, 2530 Cumberland Blvd., Smyrna, 770-431-1470.

Q: I’m a long-time reader, first-time requester. I’ve been looking for Kellogg’s Corn Flake Crumbs to use on baked chicken as a change from bread crumbs. I have found it online, but shipping and handling doubles the price. Yes, I know I can buy corn flakes and make my own, but would prefer the convenience of the box. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. — Susan Cohen, email

A: Susan, there’s no need to make a mess with corn flakes when you can snap up a box of Kellog’s Corn Flake Crumbs for $3.59 at Publix at Chastain Square, 4279 Roswell Road, Atlanta, 404-843-4353.
