Dog named ‘The Hulk’ weighs a whopping 173 pounds

It looks like they’re going to need a bigger dog bed.

A video showing a 173-pound pit bull nicknamed "The Hulk" has quickly gone viral.

The dog was bred by Dark Dynasty K9s, based in New Hampshire.

Dark Dynasty owner Marlon Grennan said he breeds dogs for size because he specializes in providing dogs for security and protection, according to a Huffington Post report.

While some balk at the idea of pit bulls being bred when so many are waiting to be rescued from shelters, Grennan said he sells his dogs only to select customers. He told the Huffington Post that he plans to start his own pit bull rescue program.
