Walmart took a look at what items are featured most in Americans' carts this Thanksgiving.
The retailer found:
• Most customers take turkey over ham: It works out to about 60 percent turkey, 40 percent ham, the retailer says.
• Most turkeys are bought the Monday before Thanksgiving.
• The most popular produce items are green beans, asparagus and cranberries.
• November is Walmart’s busiest month for pies.
• The retailer sells two pumpkin pies per second during November.
• Walmart says it will “sell enough 8-inch pecan pies during Thanksgiving to fill 9.2 football fields … including end zones.”
• Prosecco is a top choice for wine this holiday season, edging out Champagne.
