The Georgia Aquarium, which has produced all sorts of big digits since its opening in November 2005, will welcome its 10 millionth visitor on Thursday.

In honor of its latest milestone, here's a by-the-numbers look at the downtown attraction:

• 3.6 million guests in its first year.

• 40,000-50,000 animals estimated in its aquatic collection.

• 107,361 plush toys of mascot Deepo sold in the Beyond the Reef gift shop since opening, along with 38,162 plush sea otters and 28,633 plush penguins.

• 8 million gallons of water in various galleries, moved by 234 pumps.

• 61 miles of pipes in operational systems.
