Baseball is back. Well, almost.

The Gwinnett Stripers are inviting fans to celebrate the return of baseball with a preseason party this Sunday afternoon.

Formerly known as the Gwinnett Braves, the minor league team has struggled with attendance in recent years. But Sunday's free open house, which kicks off at noon, is a chance to bring people out to the ballpark.

The event will feature free hot dogs and soda, but if that's not enough, there will also be on-field batting practice and self-guided tours of the stadium, according to a Facebook post.

The tours give fans a chance to see behind-the-scenes areas like the clubhouse and dugouts. You can also roam the stadium to scope out the best seat for the season.

For young fans (or the young at heart), there will be games, face painting and visits with Chopper the Groundhog.

If you’re itching to root, root, root for the home team this year, single-game tickets for the 2020 season will be available for purchase.
