Q: My son and I have become enraptured with the juice bar at Whole Foods Market. We plan to buy a good juicer and we would love the recipe for "Green Machine" juice. It has kale, cucumber, lime and cilantro and is so refreshing. We would love if you could find out how to make it. Thanks so much. — Debbie Sumner, Dunwoody

A: Whole Foods Market is no longer offering Green Machine juice, so instead they sent us the recipe for a full batch of Urban Green juice, about 6 gallons worth. We've scaled it back to a more home cook-friendly size. You may want to tweak the proportions a bit to suit your taste. It has the same general ingredients as "Green Machine," so we hope our reader will enjoy this variation.

Whole Foods Market’s Urban Green Juice

3 1/2 cups fresh juice from Gala apples

1 cup fresh juice from cucumbers

1/2 cup fresh juice from kale

1/2 cup fresh juice from celery

1/4 cup lime juice

Juice from cilantro, to taste

In a large pitcher, stir together apple, cucumber, kale, celery and lime juices. Stir in cilantro juice to taste. If not using right away, chill and use within 2 days. Makes: 5 3/4 cups
