Free entry to the High Museum and lunch for two: Cheap Dates

Whether you’re getting to know someone or you're in a long-term relationship, dating can get expensive. And it can sometimes be hard to come up with new ideas to keep the momentum going after a series of successful dates.

If you're looking for a fun way to spend time with someone this weekend a trip to the High Museum is both economical and exciting!

If you and (or) your date are Fulton County residents you can go to the museum for free this Saturday. The museum offers “Fulton County Free Saturdays” on the first Saturday of each month.

Additionally, Bank of America and Merrill Lyhnch cardholders are admitted for free on the first weekend of each month.

Even if one of you is not a Fulton County resident or Bank of America cardholder, you can still enjoy the date at a cheaper cost since you’ll only have to pay the $19.50 entry fee once.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Grab lunch before or after visiting the museum at 1280 table. The restaurant is also conveniently located in the Woodruff Arts Center.

Dine on Caribbean jerk shrimp tacos with garlic purple slaw, grilled pineapple salsa and smoked chili cream on a crisp flour tortilla ($11) or a short rib reuben with Strauss Farms' braised short rib, house-made slaw, smoked gouda, Russian dressing and grilled marble rye ($15).

Add on two of 1280’s Red Sangrias with Savida sangria, agave nectar, fruits, basil and mint for $9 each.

Assuming you and your date get into the museum for free and select items from the menu that are priced similarly to our suggestions, you’ll be able to enjoy this fun date for about $50.
