An art auction and cocktail party benefiting two local non-profits is set to kick off Jan. 23 at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center.

Guests will have the chance to bid on pieces by local artists and faculty and students from local colleges, as well as one-of-a-kind works of art created by residents of Jerusalem House.

Proceeds from "An Affair of the Art," scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., will benefit Jerusalem House, Atlanta's oldest and largest provider of permanent housing for homeless and low-income men, women and children struggling with HIV/AIDS, and ArtsNow, an organization dedicated to improving education.

In addition to the auction, revelers can enjoy tastings from local restaurants, an open bar featuring signature cocktails and entertainment.

General sdmission tickets begin at $25 per person, with VIP tickets available for $75, including exclusive amenities such as a private bar and champagne bar, wine tastings, a gourmet lite-bite buffet and a gift of a limited production art piece.
