Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young has made a slam dunk in the realty market by buying an iconic Calabasas mansion. The basketball star used an LLC to purchase the estate for $20 million from former pro-football player Clay Matthews, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Prado de la Felicidad, Young’s newly purchased California home, is approximately 14,021 square feet, and includes seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. According to Dirt, the estate is all custom, as Matthews spent “untold millions” customizing the nearly 2-acre lot.

Located within a gated community, Estates at the Oaks, the mansion is part of a community that includes the likes of Britney Spears, Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian. The estate’s $20 million sale marks it as the second largest sum ever paid for a Calabasas home.

From the 15-seat, subterranean theater to the atrium, Trae Young’s new Calabasas mansion is equipped with the finest in high-end luxury.

“Spread over 1.65 Acres, the home has countless custom features and finishes including antique wood beams adorning the ceilings paneled walls and stately millwork and wide-plank walnut wenge & oak floors throughout,” the home’s listing on The Beverly Hills Estates said. “The double-height foyer leads you to an open and airy interior with high ceilings and sensational details. An elegant great room faces a magnificent chef’s kitchen complete with an inviting eat-in nook. Expansive accordion doors open to an outdoor oasis with an oversized pool/spa, sports court, lush lawns, serene atrium and goldfish pond, rose garden, conservatory, pergolas, firepit & a charming orchard & vegetable garden.

“An exquisite primary suite with an expansive view off the private balcony features a luxurious bathroom with Borghini marble and custom vanities. The subterranean level features a 15-seat theater wine cellar and a rare 9+ car garage with a street entrance. This extraordinary home is at the pinnacle of prestige and lifestyle with breathtaking views of the serene Santa Monica Mountains.”

The Atlanta Hawks (13-2) are set to face the Nets this Friday, but they may have to do it without Trae Young. While the NBA superstar is making big deals on the housing market, Young also failed to show up for the team’s Thursday afternoon practice after not feeling well. His status will be evaluated Friday before the Nets game.
