So they’re playing Olympic ping-pong down in Rio, so what?

Saturday is National Bowling Day right here in the good old US of A! That means free bowling at 250 participating AMF and Brunswick centers, while helping to combat hunger all across America at the same time.

Yes, you'll have to strap on a pair of those, uh, different looking bowling shoes for awhile … But c'mon, it's all for a good cause.

The Million Pin Challenge aims to provide more than half a million meals to families in need around the country. Here's how it works: Guests can bowl for free between 10 a.m. and noon this Saturday. Once one million pins have been knocked down, the centers will make the donation to Feeding America, which works with local food banks.

Only one free game of bowling per person, so make yours count (no gutterballs, please!) Meanwhile, there’ll be giveaways and contests at the participating bowling centers on Saturday morning, as well as celebrations of reaching the one million pin goal from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Here's where you can take part in metro Atlanta. Additional information, including all participating bowling centers, is available at www.nationalbowlingday.com
