‘Garden Lights’ returns to Botanical Garden: how to get tickets
Tickets to Garden Lights, Holiday Nights, the wildly popular winter-time attraction at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, are on sale now.
This year, among many colorful lighting installations, the garden will bring back its “Nature’s Wonders” exhibit, which drew raves from visitors when it was introduced in 2017.
The computer-controlled lights of “Nature’s Wonders” turned the Storza Woods into a 3-D psychedelic display, choreographed to classical music.
The special effects created by synchronized sound and light are intended to create illusions of ocean waves, thunderstorms, snowfalls, rainbows, sunrises, sunsets, meteor showers and other phenomena.
“It’s something new for people to be excited about,” said Mary Pat Matheson, the garden’s president and CEO.
Other familiar features of the seasonal lighting display will return, including the Great Lawn's dancing "Orchestral Orbs," towering cone trees, giant candles, the serene Ice Goddess and the "Tunnel of Light" – most of them with a new emphasis on cooler hues of green, blue and teal LED lights.
Some of the giant topiary-like sculptures from the “Imaginary Worlds” exhibit will also be illuminated as part of the holiday display.
This is the garden’s eighth annual light show, and it will be open to the public nightly, this year with expanded hours, from 5-11 p.m., Nov. 17 – Jan. 6.
