Summertime in Gwinnett County means festivals galore— at least this summer it does.
All around the county you'll find a little something for everyone whther looking for musical, cultural or family-friendly happenings this summer.

Lift Up Atlanta's Summer Fun Festival. 10 am. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 18. Admission by donation of school supplies. Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville. 678-245-4622. www.liftupatlanta.org.
Help support local children in need while having a blast at Lift Up Atlanta's Summer Fun Festival. You'll provide a donation of school supplies for low-income and homeless families as your admission, and get a chance to see a magic show, take part in a silent auction, play games, visit a petting zoo, eat carnival food and shop for local arts and crafts.

Enjoy an old-fashioned fourth this year in Lilburn with Sparkle in the Park, and evening of live music, children's activities, food and fireworks. While at the park, get a free family photograph taken to commemorate the day.

Listen to live jazz music while shopping for local art and watching creative performances at the Lawrenceville Arts Festival. Just make sure to watch where you walk -- chalk walk artists will create colorful sidewalk displays for spectators at this all day event.

Prepare yourself for one of the most exciting celebrations of Indian culture in the South at IACA's 20th Festival of India. Throughout the day, you and your family will experience a colorful parade, watch Indian dance performances, listen to live music, take part in a little yoga, see Indian artifacts and visit a petting zoo.

The 2nd annual Bulgarian Festival takes place in Norcross this year, which will showcase the Bulgarian culture through folk dance performances, a "Kukeri" mask competition, "Best Bulgarian Banista" competition, handicrafts, traditional Bulgarian food and children's activities.
JapanFest Atlanta. 10 a.m. Sept. 17 and 18. Tickets start at $10, free for children under 6. Infinite Energy Forum. 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway , Duluth. 770-626-2464.
Bring your whole family down to JapanFest, a weekend festival that will transport you across the world and surround you with Japanese culture and tradition. You'll get a chance to see a tea ceremony, calligraphy, kimonos, bonsai trees, eat traditional Japanese food and watch amazing performances by martial artist, dancers and drummers.
