There wasn't a dry eye in the audience after Julia Louis-Dreyfus took the stage at the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
The “Veep” star accepted her fifth consecutive Emmy for lead actress in a comedy series on Sunday night and took the time to thank some of her favorite people.

“I think that ‘Veep’ has torn down the wall between comedy and politics," she joked. "Our show started out as a political satire, but now it feels more like a sobering documentary. So, I certainly do promise to rebuild that wall and make Mexico pay for it."
Louis-Dreyfus was then choked up when she thanked another very important person for his support.
“Lastly, I would like to thank my father, William Louis-Dreyfus, who passed away on Friday," she said, tearing up. "I’m so glad that he liked ‘Veep’ because his opinion was the one that really mattered.”
