Thursday is the next to last day of the traditional workweek. It's named after Thor, the hammer-wielding Norse god of thunder. You, too, can bring the hammer down on your workday blues by getting out in Atlanta and flying the flag of your inner Viking.

Street Food Thursdays

Find your way to 12th Street anytime from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for a wide selection of mobile lunch vendors slinging everything from fresh Maine lobster to a bento box from the Bento Bus.

First Thursday Art Openings

On the first Thursday of each month, Hodgepodge Coffee – an East Atlanta craft coffee house in a former auto garage -- hosts the work of a local artist. The visual stimuli, which you can buy, benefiting both the artist and Hodgepodge stays up for about a month. Even if you aren’t a gallery opening gal or guy, it should be noted that Hodgepodge sells Batdorf & Bronson (read: delicious) coffee drinks along with food and great local art.
