Funeral services for rapper and Point Breeze native Mac Miller, who died at age 26 of an apparent overdose, will be held in Pittsburgh, TMZ reported.

Miller's body was placed on a plane in Los Angeles Wednesday morning to be flown to Pittsburgh, according to TMZ. A Jewish service will be held later in the week.

On Tuesday, a vigil was held at Pittsburgh's Blue Slide Park, for which Miller named his debut album.

Miller often supported his hometown through his music. A former student at Taylor-Alderdice High School, Miller was a proud Pittsburgher who never forgot where he came from, often talking about home in his songs.

The vigil was organized by Nightfall Records shortly after Miller died.

Officials with the record company said they just wanted to provide a safe space for people to come out and honor an icon in the music industry.

Miller was found dead Friday in his Los Angeles home.

An official cause of death has not been released, The Associated Press reported. A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County coroner's office told the AP that the results of toxicology tests could take weeks or months.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
