Garth Brooks is the first to admit he’s not a tech-savvy guy. Now the country music superstar regrets using a high-tech way to record several new songs.

Brooks told The Journal Sentinel that he lost all the new songs he'd saved on his phone over the last six months.

He apparently did not have the new music recordings backed up on another device.

However, Brooks said he’s still working to retrieve the new material from the “fried” phone and appears confident that his new material will not be lost forever.

Brooks is continuing his world tour with wife Trisha Yearwood.
