Year One Fast Fridays Test & Tune at Atlanta Dragway

Ever thought of settling a grudge on the track? Atlanta Dragway gives folks the opportunity to put disagreements to rest through drag racing. A crop of drivers face off for bragging rights. Whether it’s Chevy against Ford, mom vs. dad or domestic against import, the battle ensues with burning rubber. Guests can race or simply watch.

Rock for Animals at Paris on Ponce

Singer-songwriter and local hero Shawn Mullins headlines this animal-friendly fund-raiser. Mullins and fellow musician Juliana Finch share the stage. Each will deliver acoustic sets for this benefit for both the Briarcliff Animal Foundation and PIGS Animal Sanctuary. Keep eyes and ears open for live and silent auctions. Auction goodies up for grabs include gift certificates for pet sitting, massages, chiropractic care and travel packages.

3rd annual Beer 4 Boobs at SweetWater Brewing Co.

The Busted Hearts, a team participating in the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, hosts this evening of suds and sounds. Guests get the opportunity to tour the brewery and sample its wares with a souvenir glass. Live music comes from Bandwidth, a group of technology professionals with a knack for musical hardware. The band cruises through covers and dabbles in rock, pop, country and golden oldies. When guests aren’t dancing to the music they can enter a raffle for prizes.
