Report: Models who promoted Fyre Festival will be subpoenaed to testify

Ja Rule’s Fyre Festival Falls Apart

A new report from the Daily Mail says a judge has granted an order seeking subpoenas from celebrities who promoted the disastrous Fyre Festival.

The affected parties include Kendall Jenner and IMG Models, which represents Bella Hadid, Elsa Hosk and Hailey Bieber, according to the Daily Mail.

The New York judge granted the order to force the models and Instagram influencers to disclose any information about being paid to promote the festival.  The Daily Mail says the models will have to say more about payments received from festival organizer Billy McFarland.

Two years ago, the Fyre Festival descended into a "complete disaster" of delayed flights, lost luggage and half-built tents.

The festival was supposed to feature Blink-182, Migos, Major Lazer and more. Instead, some festivalgoers were left stranded after paying up to $12,000 to attend.

The disaster was such that McFarland and fellow organizer Ja Rule were banned from doing another festival in the Bahamas.
