Pirates aren’t all about scruffy beards and waves of testosterone. It’s high seas hijinks as a crew of female scallywags attacks a boat of civilians in this family-friendly musical comedy. Bill Francoeur’s toe-tapping score delivers a ship full of chanteys. Infectious tunes set sail, including “Welcome Aboard,” “They’re a Nasty Lot” and “Shipshape and Bristol Fashion.” “The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree” is a part of the theater company’s continuing 2011-2012 season.

Great American Motorcycle Show at North Atlanta Trade Center
Organizers are expecting more than 15,000 people over three days as this motorcycle event revs up the North Atlanta Trade Center. New and domestic bikes pack the massive hall. Visitors get an eyeful of everything, including one-of-a-kind customs, sport bikes and trikes. Those hankering to buy a hunk of rumbling metal have the opportunity to take advantage of deals on motorcycles and scooters. Parts, apparel and just about anything related to motorcycles will be for sale. Biker lawyer Steve Murrin will host a motorcycle show open to guests. Oodles of additional entertainment include the slithering shenanigans of "Snake Master" Steve Scruggs and live music courtesy of J.B. Walker and the Cheap Whiskey Band. Friday night visitors can stick around after closing for free admission to Universal Championship Wrestling.

Repticon Atlanta Reptile & Exotic Animal Show at Gwinnett County Fairgrounds
While some reptiles give folks the willies, other people can’t get enough of the creatures. Those falling into the latter category will be converging upon the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds for Repticon Atlanta. Vendors will be selling reptile pets, supplies, merchandise and more. Make sure and catch Ken “The Reptile Wrangler” Panse as he presents his live animal show. Tom Brown from Under the Canopy Farms will dish on dart frogs. Exotic Kingdom’s Mike Dean will show off his creepy-crawly knowledge with a special show dedicated to arachnids. Tarantulas, scorpions and more make up his cast.
