‘Polar Express Experience' at Southeastern Railway Museum
Imagine the perfect venue to watch the film version of “The Polar Express,” the Christmas movie about a North Pole-bound train. Yep, that would be within the confines of a genuine railroad car. It all happens at this train-centric museum. The staff even entertains the crowd along with the film. Hot chocolate and cookies abound, and Santa Claus will be in the house, er, train. Guests take home a surprise gift.

Enchanted Christmas Tree Forest at Scottsdale Farms Nursery
This home and garden center offers free holiday activities with its Enchanted Christmas Tree Forest. Beginning Nov. 25, hayrides and face painting take place on select days. The hayrides wind across the farm’s 25 acres, through woods and a pasture. The kickoff day features live Christmas music, too. A gaggle of miniature farm animals, from goats to pigs, arrives on Nov. 26 for a special petting zoo session. And Santa Claus makes a stop from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 4.

Dave Koz and Friends Christmas Tour 2011 at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre
Smooth jazz sax man Dave Koz brings his annual seasonal tradition back to town. This time, he has a trio of special guests. Trumpeter, composer and producer Rick Braun, South African singer and guitarist Jonathan Butler, and Dutch-bred sax player Candy Dulfer join forces with Koz. Each performer dishes out cuts from his and her own catalogs, and delivers special versions of holiday tunes. The Grammy-winning Koz will surely tip his Santa hat to his latest disc, “Hello Tomorrow,” as well as treat guests to a selection of songs from his three holiday albums.
