Beer will flow freely at East Atlanta festival
Formerly known as Notoberfest, the East Atlanta Beer Festival celebrates its fifth year this weekend with more 120 brews to sample. From local lagers such as Red Brick Summer Ale to imports such as Asahi and an assortment of flavors from Hawaii's Kona label, you'll get to taste plenty of exotic offerings after picking up your tasting glass (which you get to keep).
For those with a sweeter palate, ciders such as Woodchuck and Ace Pear will be available. And if you need a special blessing to justify such indulgences, you can sample the Messiah, Genesis or the Rejewvenator from Hebrew: The Chosen Beer.
Local food vendors will provide something to help soak up the alcohol (with options nearby in the East Atlanta Village). There will be performances from Hair of the Dog, a local world music act, and Atlanta funk band Entropy as well as DJs Sassy and Nate.
