"Bodies," the hit exhibition that shows the human body as a complex machine, is coming back to Atlanta.

The show, which had almost 400,000 visitors in its 2006 run at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Midtown, will include all new specimens and body parts not seen in its previous incarnation, says Mark Pettit, who is handling public relations for the exhibitor, Premier Exhibitions.

Bodies opens Nov. 22 at the Exhibition Center at Atlantic Station and runs for the next six months, Pettit said. It will run alongside Premier's recently opened "Dialog in the Dark," an exhibit that gives visitors an opportunity to experience the world as the visually impaired would.

"Dialog is doing great," Pettit said. "Premier has about 20,000 square feet at Atlantic Station and a three-year lease. It is our plan to bring a number of exhibitions to Atlanta and rotate them through the space."

Bodies opens at a time when Atlanta has a number of big cultural activities slated for the fall and winter, including "The First Emperor: China's Terracotta Army" at the High Museum of Art, "Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs" at the Civic Center and the High's "The Louvre and the Masterpiece."
