Closet space sparked the renovations to TV personality Stacey Elgin and husband Jimmy Weilbaecher’s home in Brookhaven.
“When I moved in, it was like, ‘Oh, this closet is not cutting it.’ There were two small closets in the master suite. I needed a bigger closet,” Elgin said. “Then my husband was like, if you’re getting your closet, I’m going to make the downstairs the man cave.”
The changes blended Jimmy’s traditional and Elgin’s modern design styles and when their twins were born last December, Elgin brought the modern aesthetic into the nursery.

Favorite fixture: The crystal chandelier in the dining room. "It's a beautiful piece. We got it after we got married. That's a piece we enjoy together, especially around the holidays," Elgin said.
Kid-friendly design tip: "With the boys coming along, we didn't want to take on the expense of buying new sofas and buying a bunch of furniture," Elgin said. Dunn used many of their existing pieces, then freshened up the look with new paint colors and curtains. "Adding the drapes in the great room just completely warmed it up and made it feel so much more comfortable," Elgin said. "I love having a big fluffy rug on the floor to sit down with the boys and play with them."
