This weekend, the Container Store, opened its newest store at Avalon in Alpharetta. The store is the 79th container store location in the country.

A portion of the proceeds from sales during the grand opening weekend were donated to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, for a total contribution of $18,000.

Shoppers lined up outside of the store to wait for the opening, including Amanda Marsden, winner of the store's Super Fan contest.

In addition to being first to enter the store, Marsden -- clad in a crown and sash -- received a $250 gift card and a box of products from The Container Store.

The Container Store has supported Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for years, said Eva Gordon, Vice President of Stores, Training & Development, and Recruiting for The Container Store.

“We know that our customers and employees are passionate about their organization and their history of caring for Georgia's children for more than 100 years,” Gordon said.
